Squatex and CTI Welcome an Official Delegation from the National Geological Survey of Senegal to Québec
Brossard (Québec), February 27, 2026 — Squatex Energy and Resources Inc. (“Squatex”) and Caron Technologies International Inc. (“CTI”), in collaboration with the Halles d'Innovation et de Formation Avancée (HIFA) and the Université du Québec à Rimouski (UQAR), are pleased to announce that they will welcome to Québec, from March 5 to March 11, 2026, an official delegation from the National Geological Survey of Senegal (SGNS) as part of the strategic cooperation agreement concluded in October 2025.
The delegation will be led by Dr. Rokhaya Samba Diène, Director General of the SGNS, and will include:
Mr. Raymond Sagna, Geologist and Director of Exploration and Applied Geology
Mr. Babacar Niang, Administrative and Financial Director
Mr. Mouhamed Diop, Archival Engineer and Head of Documentation, Archives and Information Services
This official visit marks an important milestone in the concrete implementation of the partnership between Senegalese and Québec institutions. An initial working meeting held by videoconference on February 17, 2026, helped establish the operational framework of the collaboration and define its strategic priorities.
In this context, the mission program includes:
· March 5 – Brossard: Working session at Squatex’s offices
· March 9 – Rivière-du-Loup: Technical visit of HIFA facilities
· March 10 – Rimouski: Working meetings at the Université du Québec à Rimouski
· March 11 – Hybrid steering committee meeting to establish the next steps
The National Geological Survey of Senegal, a public institution under the authority of the Ministry of Energy, Petroleum and Mines, plays a central role in geological mapping, mineral exploration, and the strategic management of Senegal’s subsurface data.
Work currently underway within the framework of the partnership notably includes:
the development of airborne geophysical surveys,
the deployment of innovative and sustainable exploration technologies,
the management of geoscientific documentation,
the strengthening of scientific and technical capacity.
This mission aims to consolidate the foundations of a structured, long-term collaboration based on knowledge transfer, technological innovation, and the responsible development of natural resources.
