2025 Review and 2026 Outlook
As the year 2025 comes to an end, the team at Ressources et Énergie Squatex and Caron Technologies International (CTI) would like to thank all those who have contributed to our evolution over the past year. This period has been marked by several key initiatives, offering important opportunities for research, collaboration, and exchange:
Natural Hydrogen and Critical Minerals
The year 2025 marks an important milestone in our commitment to clean energy. We have begun deploying our natural hydrogen (white hydrogen) exploration strategy, an emerging resource with significant potential for the energy transition. Our team is focusing on the search for geological formations conducive to the natural accumulation of hydrogen in exploitable reservoirs. This initiative is part of a broader vision that also includes the exploration of critical and strategic minerals, including rare earths, thorium, chromium, titanium, zinc, and cobalt, which are essential to green technologies.
International Partnership with Senegal
This focus on innovation has resulted in structuring collaborations on an international scale. We have signed a strategic framework agreement with the National Geological Service of Senegal (SGNS), the Halls of Innovation and Advanced Training (HIFA), and the Université du Québec à Rimouski (UQAR). This renewable three-year partnership paves the way for scientific and technological collaboration between Quebec and West Africa, while offering an international platform for CTI's carbon-neutral drilling technologies.

On the occasion of the 8th edition of the Senegal International Mining Conference and Exhibition, our team had the opportunity to present its advances in carbon-neutral drilling as well as its work in natural hydrogen and critical minerals. This event also fostered enriching exchanges with our partners and several key players in the African mining and energy sector, around a common vision based on science, innovation, and environmental responsibility.
