First Strategic Work Meeting – SGNS – Squatex – CTI – HIFA – UQAR

Following the official visit of the delegation from the National Geological Service of Senegal (SGNS) to Quebec, a first strategic working meeting was held virtually on March 25, 2026, bringing together SGNS, Ressources & Énergie Squatex Inc. (Squatex), Caron Technologies International Inc. (CTI), the Advanced Innovation and Training Hubs (HIFA), and the Université du Québec à Rimouski (UQAR). This meeting marks an important milestone in the concrete implementation of the partnership between the organizations.

Objective of the Meeting

The purpose of this meeting was to review four pilot projects presented by SGNS in order to assess their technical feasibility, associated costs, and development potential, while preparing the next steps required for their implementation.

  • Evaluation of geophysical survey methods, including drone-based approaches

  • Definition of an operational model: CTI (data acquisition) / Squatex (analysis and interpretation)
